Professional experience:

  • Geological Survey of India – 7 years in very hostile states like Nagaland , Arunachal Pradesh and Assam. Accepted challenges and took up tasks like  collection , interpretation of  geological & geophysical data , recommend for mineral prospecting & offer solutions to challenging Structural and Engineering problems. Could also get an excellent command in technical aspects & additionally got good exposure to understand cultures of different states, temperament of people and gained lot of confidence in dealing with problems during discharge of duties
  • Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC) – 22 years in North eastern states & Gujarat: Main responsibility was to supervise field operations for collection of data , interpret and propose suitable locales for exploratory & development oil & gas wells. Tactfully tackled lot of resistance from the locals & smoothly completed  challenging assignments.   Association with this organisation provided ample opportunity in developing into a confident geoscientist, which opened way to join oil firm in Kuwait. Additionally got good exposure to understand structure of a Navaratna company and its corporate policies
  • Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) – 11 yrs : Challenging task was to explore Palaeozoic prospects, more than 20,000 ft, it was very challenging as quality of data from very deeper horizons was very poor . Successfully completed assignments like preparing of structural maps & identification of locales for oil & gas exploration from very deeper horizons. Interaction with persons from different countries gave an opportunity to work in a multinational environment  with exchange of technical ideas
  • Four decades of experience in profession developed me into a good earth scientist & exposure to other fields gave an excellent opportunity to develop confidence in planning , executing different projects and managing  hurdles / problems
